The Schoettler Saxophone Ensemble
The Schoettler Saxophone Ensemble was formed in 2006 and has performed at the Kenosha Pop’s Christmas Concert, Sounds of the Season at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Racine's First Fridays, Kenosha's Taste of Wisconsin and HarborMarket, in recital with organist Scott Hyslop, and throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. Members have included Tanner Bakkala, Nathan Brandes, Mathea Durica, Andy Hayes, Nathan Larsen, Joseph McKillip, Joseph Moez, Brian Schoettler, and Eric Wistrom. With an expansive repertoire including a diverse range of styles, this ensemble allowed members, many of whom were Brian's private students, to gain an understanding of important compositions and composers while strengthening their performance skills as chamber musicians. Although the ensemble is no longer performing on a regular basis, the ensemble is available for scheduled performances with advance notice. For more details, click here.
